This hand-tool heavy workshop is for all skill levels including beginners and is taught by celebrated local furniture maker and luthier Harold Greene of Harold Greene Hand-Made Fine Furnishings, based in San Pedro, CA. With his guidance, you'll learn to make your own dovetailed box out of various woods from his personal stock of locally salvaged urban timber--woods like Carob, Walnut, Acacia, Elm, Sycamore and more.
"The experience of working wood with hand tools is both rewarding and satisfying," says Greene, "Each tree and each board from them is unique; the weight, feel, sound and the fragrance of different woods makes each object created from them unique and personal. Let's make a box!"
Box dimensions are roughly 11" x 5 1/2"x 4"
