E'dran

E'dran is originally from Los Angeles, but since his parents were in the military E'dran has spent a lot of his life moving between Louisiana, New York, Texas, Georgia, Florida and finally back to Los Angeles.  His nomadic childhood helped form who he is today, "Once I became a teenager and then an adult, there wasn't no stability...but however, I'm more of an adventurist." he says. After being incarcerated, E'dran secured transitional housing  through a program called Breaking Barriers which helps people in Los Angeles transition from the criminal justice system into housing and employment.

E'dran's father was an architect and a visual artist, and E'dran has followed in his footsteps. He is a prolific artist (see drawings below) and lucky for us, he has extensive carpentry skills he learned from working with his father. E'dran was an instrumental team member and leader during our fabrication of outdoor furniture for the Refresh Spot project.

E'dran has had stable housing for the last year and a half and is working closely with our partners at Chrysalis to find employment.  We wish him all the luck.
