Would Works @ Stanford d.school
Would Works won a generous scholarship to attend an intensive workshop called Designing for Social Systems (DSS) at Stanford's d.school this month! We put together a great team that will be helping to design the outdoor waiting room experience at the Skid Row Community ReFresh Spot
Welcome all new Advanced Crew!
We have just launched a new program called the Would Works Advanced Crew. Our first cohort includes four exceptional Artisans who have completed our beginner workshop and are hungry for more skills and time in the shop. Advanced Crew members will be helping lead workshops, machine products and design and build outdoor furniture.
Our outdoor furniture gives Skid Row residents a comfortable place to rest
Would Works was commissioned by a local architecture firm, Office 42, to build a large set of custom outdoor furniture for a public hygiene center in Skid Row called the Refresh Spot. This furniture provides residents of Skid Row with a safe, clean and comfortable place to relax while using the invaluable services of the Refresh Spot such as toilets, showers and laundry.
